Job Summary

We are seeking a driven and creative Sales Director who is inspired by the opportunity to build a sales department from the ground up. The ideal candidate is self-directed and loves the freedom and opportunity of innovation and working in a fast-moving, high-growth context. You should be excited about the challenge of iterating methodically to develop a sales process that is replicable and scalable.

As Sales Director, you develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue and are prepared to get your hands dirty executing day-to-day sales tactics. You have the confidence and skills needed to build a structured and efficient sales pipeline and move qualified leads through the sales cycle.

This role is the first step on a longer journey with Skylyte. You will transition into managing a full sales team and have the opportunity to step into a role as VP of Sales, so you should have the skills and desire to manage others effectively.

Prior experience within the HR-tech, digital health, and/or B2B SaaS startup space is a huge plus!

Responsibilities

  • Refine sales strategy, set and track against sales goals, report metrics and data on a regular basis, and forecast future sales
  • Build out sales pipeline and own the sales process for major prospects from initial meetings to close
  • Develop a sales playbook and work with team to develop sales collateral
  • Consistently generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding new potential sales outlets
  • Generate referrals and actively network within industry
  • Over the next year, build out a team of SaaS sales engineers, setting a vision and managing and coaching salespeople

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive (at least 3 years) direct sales experience with proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to build out sales processes at scale
  • Skills required to build and manage a team
  • Experience within a B2B early stage startup, preferably SaaS
  • Strong ability to navigate enterprise customers and strong understanding of buyer personas in industry
  • Highly proficient with CRM tools
  • Ability to build and maintain strong and long-term relationships with Chief Executives
  • Ability to pinpoint client needs and present solutions accordingly
  • A strategic thinker who is also detail-oriented

Desired Qualifications

  • Successful previous experience managing sales teams
  • Experience in HR Tech or Digital Health SaaS
  • Deep understanding of HR domain/buyer
  • Existing relationships with HR executives

Compensation

We will work with you to develop an ideal compensation plan consisting of salary, commission, equity, and additional incentives.
